At Vancouver Family Homestays we do more than just homestay programs. We can deliver a turn-key experience for your group that can include integration with Canadian schools, university campus experiences and summer ESL and activity programs.

Homestay
With over 30 years experience in making students welcome and cared for in Canadian homes, VFH delivers safe, well managed homestay programs for groups as large as 300 or more students. 

School Integration
Meeting and making friends with fellow students the same age is sure to make a trip to another country truly rewarding. VFH arranges integration programs with local high schools that allow visiting students to experience life in a Canadian school and share their own culture with Canadian students. Programs can range from half a day in length to a week or more. Every visiting student is matched with a Canadian School Mate for a personalized experience.

University Campus Experience
Students visiting Canada with large school excursions have limited opportunities to meet and interact with Canadian young people. Students at the University of British Columbia and other Vancouver-area post-secondary institutions lead campus tours and encourage visiting students to use their English. With longer (2 + hours) programs they incorporate exercises, games and discussions in English. The objective is to build the confidence of visiting students in their English speaking ability so they can make the most of their opportunities in Canada. Programs can be fully customized to meet the educational objectives of organizers.

English and Activity Programs
Hi-Go High School English programs use a socio-linguistic approach that teaches students English they will be required to use immediately. Each morning lesson is planned around social situations and around what students will encounter in the afternoon activity. The result is enduring and transferable language gains. Available in select communities on Vancouver Island - where Canadians come to vacation.
